Cycle time calculator

Cycle time is the actual time to produce one unit. Compare it to your takt time to instantly see whether your line is keeping up with demand.

Cycle time vs. takt time

Manufacturers often confuse cycle time with takt time. Customer demand sets takt time: the target the line must hit. Cycle time shows what the line actually achieves.

Cycle time < Takt time

Line is ahead of demand. Capacity may be idle or unevenly distributed.

Cycle time > Takt time

Line is falling behind demand. Overtime or missed delivery dates will result.

Cycle time formula

Formula
Cycle Time = Net Production Time ÷ Units Produced
Net Production Time: shift time minus breaks
Units Produced: total output in that period
Result: minutes (or seconds) per unit

Now put these numbers to work.

Taktora is built for manufacturers who want to hit their takt time, close the OEE gap, and stop losing capacity to manual scheduling. See what it does for your floor.
